Presenting The Sketchbook Project Tour
The Sketchbook Project is a constantly evolving library of artists’ sketchbooks from around the globe. The library annually tours its completed sketchbooks, exhibiting in galleries across 15 countries.
To enroll in The Sketchbook Project, participants sign up on the Sketchbook Project website and pay an entrance fee of $25 to receive a small, stapled sketchbook. Once completed, artists mail their finished sketchbooks to the Art House Library in Brooklyn, where each sketchbook is given a unique barcode, digitized for online viewing, and displayed in the library’s permanent collection.
Our sister imprint Potter Style will be publishing a companion to the Sketchbook Project on March 9, 2013. The Sketchbook Project Journal is the larger, keepsake version of the classic Sketchbook Project sketchbook, offering within its pages the project’s annual prompts and themes (as well as newly created prompts) never before collected in one volume. With help from this journal, you’re one step closer to adding your voice to the project.
