Crafty Fun at Maker Faire |
|
The third annual World Maker Faire took place in New York on September 29-30. Though the weather threatened above, it didn’t stop anyone from having a good time!
In fact, the event, which is brimming with hands-on workshops, how-to presentations, and talks from DIY experts, was almost too much fun—we didn’t know where to start!
We loved learning to solder at the soldering station, sewing drawstring bags at the Kollabora booth, trading clothes at the Swap-O-Rama, watching kids have fun at the Young Makers Pavilion (and having our own fun with moms from Geekmom.com and getting a sneak peek at their new book), and seeing all kinds of crafts at the BUST Craftacular.
We also absolutely LOVED our good friend Anna Hrachovec’s booth filled with knitted gnomes!
If you didn’t get a chance to go in person, check out our slideshow to feel as if you were there!
