A Potter Craft Baby Shower
If your office is anything like ours, you may have noticed a sudden rise in baby bumps! This should come as no surprise considering the early fall months are the most common for babies to be born. We at CrafterNews absolutely love this time of year because it gives us an opportunity to work on adorable baby crafts!
This week, our team joined together to celebrate a new addition to the Potter Craft family. Art Director Jess Morphew will be having a baby girl in the next few weeks and we are thrilled to meet her!
Naturally, when a crafty team gets together it’s well . . . crafty. So as expected, there were lots of handmade decorations, in addition the handmade baby gifts.
Triangular flag banners in baby-girl-friendly patterns adorned the walls, tiny onesies were draped across the windows, even the cupcakes were decorated with personalized letters and messages.
Now on to the gifts!
After the SURPRISE (yes, Jess was actually surprised), and the toast, Potter Craft Editorial Director Victoria Craven presented Jess with a beautiful quilt that she worked on during her sabbatical (we’re jealous!). Victoria knew that Jess preferred colors other than pink for her baby girl, so she opted instead for bright blue and purple blocks.
But wait, there’s more!
Senior Editor Betty Wong made an adorably tiny eggplant hat for Jess’s baby to keep her little head warm when the fall chill sets in. Judging by this hat, and the beanie a fellow Potter Crafter created for Jess’s son, William, we have a feeling that this little girl will have plenty of stylish headwear to choose from!
Check out photos from the baby shower, below. Perhaps they will inspire you to create something for a new mommy in your life.
