Crafternews Visits Columbus for TNNA
Crafternews always loves heading to Columbus, Ohio, each summer for the National Needlearts Show, which exhibits the latest and greatest in all things knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cross-stitching, and embroidery.
Once there, we connect with other fiber friendly folks, touch and feel new products, “ooh and ahh” over cutting-edge designs, and of course, consume vast quantities of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams (shamelessly)!
This year, we mixed and mingled with craft celebrities, Nicky Epstein, Melissa Leapman, Lily Chin, Clara Parkes, Brett Bara, Doris Chan, Debbie Macomber, and Nora Bellows. We attended a fantastic cocktail party hosted by our friends at Craftsy. We saw many adorable knitted outfits, such as a Downton Abbey inspired ensemble from The Sexy Knitter (a wonderful knitted replica of Sybil’s shocking harem pants from Season 1), and lots of knitted hair accessories.
We left the show with visions of cashmere, merino, cotton, silk, and alpaca dancing in our heads. Check out the slideshow below to feel as though you were there too!
