Sewing Lesson with Brett Bara

It was my New Year’s resolution to learn how to sew using a sewing machine. I took a class a few weeks ago to learn all its names and parts (bobbin case! presser foot!) and how to thread the machine. At the end of the class, we were given pieces of muslin, and we practiced our stitches. I felt confident that I was ready to make a project!

That’s when the lovely and talented Brett Bara, author of Sewing in a Straight Line heard of my sewing resolutions and graciously offered to give me a personal lesson.
