In 2007, Patti Gilstrap and Seryn Potter—owners of the fabulous Brooklyn boutique FLIRT—opened a large sewing studio they called Home Ec. This playfully decorated and creatively inspiring space is where they design and make clothing, as well as teach beginner and intermediate sewing classes.
