Free Pattern – Basketweave Pillow from Home Knits by Suss Cousins |
|
In her third book, Home Knits, knitting star Suss Cousins presents unique knitted objects that will help you create a beautiful, relaxed environment in the home. As much a home design book as a knitting guide, Home Knits includes 30 projects and lots of tips, enabling readers to experiment and master new challenges with ease and success.
In Suss Cousins’ Basketweave Pillow pattern, you make just one piece to sew to the top of an inexpensive cotton pillow. It looks complicated but is actually very simple once you arrange your strips. You can vary the pattern by using yarn and linen, yarn and yarn, yarn and felt – so many possibilities! Knit in one-by-one rib for a fabric that doesn’t curl in at the edges, the pillow is a great gift. Make it in neutral colors to go with anyone’s decor.
