The Polymer Clay Cookbook Launches in Charlottesville, VA
“She wore an itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, yellow . . .dangling cupcake earring?!” With The Polymer Clay Cookbook: Tiny Food Jewelry to Whip Up and Wear, now she can! Sisters Jessica Partain and Susan Partain have written a delicious new book that teaches crafters how to make-and-bake adorable jewelry from every step of the food pyramid, from healthy items like apples, bananas, and watermelon to treats like pizza, lollypops, and ice cream cones.
Jessica and Susan recently celebrated the launch of The Polymer Clay Cookbook with events at the Albemarle Baking Company and Charlottesville City Market in Charlottesville, VA. Here’s what they reported:
“We did have a great group of people who attended, very enthusiastic supporters. A father came with his teenage daughter and several of her friends, and all them had brought along the pieces they had already sculpted from the book. The dad wanted advice about his pretzel-making, and the girls were comparing all of their pies and cupcakes and burgers with ours (we had several of the book projects on display.) Overall, it was a lot of fun, the bakery was divinely scented, and it was awesome to hear how people were reacting to the book.”
You can meet Jessica and Susan most weekends at the Charlottesville City Market.
