Corrections to Amy Karol’s Bend-the-Rules Sewing

 

The following corrections are for the patterns found in Bend-the-Rules Sewing. The corrections are listed by pattern, page number, and row number. We hope you will find this useful!

Simple Tote (Page 54)
Under MATERIALS section
Short strap should read: 3” by 8”

Charming Handbag (Page 64)
Under MATERIALS section, two lines should be added:
Handle fabric: (1) 2” x 22” (5.1 x 55.9 cm) piece
Casing Fabric: (2) 1 1/2” x 6” (3.8 x 15.2 cm) pieces

Pleated Beauty Handbag (Page 68)
Under MATERIALS section, the second line down of Contrasting fabric should read: (1) 10” x 9” (25.4 x 23cm) for inside pocket

Easy Lap Quilt
Under MATERIALS section, Quilt back should read: (1) 44” by 44” (111.5 x 111.5 cm) piece and Quilt batting should read: (1) 44” by 44” (111.5 x 111.5 cm) piece

Soft Turtle Buddy (Page 116)
Step 4 should read: Stitch two bottom pieces together, leaving open between marks.

No Cash Wallet (Page 126)
Top right box of pattern should read: cut 1 outside fabric, 1 lining, 1 flannel facing

To read image exif info, you can use Photoshopped Image Killer. It reads software info and jpeg quantization tables from Exif. Specificially, it can tell you whether image has tags or quantization tables from Adobe Photoshop. The site is free.
